WELCOME TO THE CRAVEN FOODIE
Meet Kerri-Ann, the Chief Craven Gyal behind the blog
I’m Kerri-Ann, the recipe developer behind The Craven Foodie — a Caribbean food blog rooted in bold flavors, real technique, and food that makes people pull up a chair and stay a while.
Where It All Started
Food was never just food in my family. It was how we showed love, marked occasions, and kept culture alive at the table. Growing up in Kingston, bold Caribbean flavors weren’t a preference — they were just life.
After years working in Sales Administration at Pfizer, I followed the thing that kept pulling me back: food, culture, and the kind of recipes people actually want to cook. In 2019, I launched Kerri-Ann’s Kravings as a creative outlet — and it quietly became something much bigger. In 2025, it evolved into The Craven Foodie, a full-time business built around the cuisine I’ve always loved and the people hungry to learn it.
What You’ll Find Here
Jamaican classics. Caribbean-inspired recipes. Creative twists rooted in the flavors I grew up with. Everything from jerk chicken and curry goat to fusion dishes that push the culture forward without losing it.
My approach is straightforward: traditional technique, modern clarity, bold results. If it’s on this blog, it’s been tested, tasted, and approved by my mom, my people, and the regulars who never hold back.
Why Caribbean Food Matters Here
Caribbean cuisine deserves the same global respect as any other food culture. Every recipe here is part of that argument. I’m not just sharing dishes — I’m sharing stories, history, and a seat at a table that’s always had room for one more.
If you’re new to Caribbean cooking, welcome. If you’ve been eating this food your whole life, welcome back.
